    1. loveathon

I’m really excited to be apart of the Love-a-thon this year!

    1. What’s your name?
    2. Where in the world are you blogging from?
    3. How did you get into blogging in the first place?
I couldn’t even remember, I’ve been blogging since I was in elementary school when Piczo was the big deal!
    4. How did you come up with your blog name?
I love coffee on Sunday mornings where I wanna wake up, grab a book, and have some coffee for my only day off throughout my week!
    5. What genre do you read and review the most on your blog?
      Probably young adult fiction
    6. What other types of posts do you do on your blog, apart from reviews?
Some personal, some reviews of products, some random thoughts!
    7. Best blogging experience so far?
Probably just connecting with people throughout the blogging community!
    8. Favorite thing about the blogging community?
Connecting with other people around the world!
    9. Name the 5 books you’re most excited for this 2016!
Man this will be difficult, but okay.
      1) Betrayals-Kelley Armstrong
      2) Harry Potter & the Cursed Child
3)This Is Where It Ends by Marieke Nijkamp
4)Exit, Pursued by a Bear by E.K. Johnston
5)The Way I Used to Be by Amber Smith
    10. Name the 5 books you want to read this 2016 that you didn’t get to in previous years!
      1)The Silkworm-Robert Galbraith
2)Twilight/Life and Death-Stephanie Meyer-the old school fan girl in me is dying to see what this is all about!
      3) A Darker Shade of Magic- V.E. Schwabb
      4) Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

      5) Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige

    11. What’s an underrated book or series that you think everyone should read? This is difficult. I think that would be the Underworld series by Kelley Armstrong. It’s a collection of individual books but the characters all tie into each other through other novels. Her books have left me devouring whatever she writes next.
    12. Which book boy or girl would be your book BFF?Elena Michaels in Kelley Armstrong’s Underworld series
    13. Which book boy or girl would be your book boyfriend/girlfriend?Oh man this is difficult. I don’t think I can answer this question haha.
    14. Who would you recruit for your apocalypse squad (5 characters max)Elena Michaels
      Hermoine Granger
      Arya Stark
      The Hound
      Clay Danvers
    15. Apart from reading, what are your other hobbies or interests?Coffee. Seriously, I love trying out new coffee shops with their different coffees and snacks.
I would say working out, but I’ve been slacking so hard on that lately, so it’s out the window.
Lacrosse and Volleyball would be my other two hobbies when it is summer time!
    16. Apart from book shopping, what else do you like shopping for?Clothes and anything paper related. So pens, cool paper, paperclips, notebooks, etc.
    17. At a party, the DJ suddenly changes the song – and it’s your song. What song would be playing?
Hmm.. This changes so consistently it’s hard. At the moment though, Lean on-Major Lazer & DJ Snake feat MO. Come back to me next week though and I’ll probably be obsessed with a new song.
    18. Pick out either a book you want turned into a film/TV show, or a film/TV show you want turned into a book.
A Thousand Nights by E.K. Johnston should be turned into a movie. A movie/tv show that isn’t already a book feels pretty difficult considering most are based off books these days.. Probably my latest obsession which is the Good Wife. However, my fave series(Underworld by Kelley Armstrong) is a TV show, Bitten, so go check that out!
    19. What would your dream library look like?
That’s difficult. Probably white shelves, my books color coded, with a comfy couch and lots of windows with natural light. Probably a lot of warm blue calming tones with some aztec print pops for pillows. Oh and somewhere for my coffee cup. Probably a speaker to play Rainy Mood on as well.
    20. Author you want to meet and sit down to tea with?John Green. I had to read The Fault In Our Stars for my 4th year seminar, and I was blown away. I still haven’t watched the film though.

    What do you think?

  • Yay for Canadian blogger friends! From where in the country do you hail from?

I’m similar with music tastes in that I listen to a song on repeat for hours until I find that next track that’s an instant ear-worm or whatever it’s called. Unless it achieves the coveted ‘shower belty’ status…

    Joey via. thoughts and afterthoughts.

    • Kayla says:

I’m more west! I used to be in the GTA but moved away for university! But oh those ‘shower belties’, those are a goodie!

  • Finally found someone that’s happy and excited about Cursed Child! Phew I’ve only read negative feedback on that news so far so YAY.

I also like to shop stationary things. I really need to hold back otherwise I’d probably be a hoarder of all things stationary.

    • Kayla says:

I’m already a hoarder, I probably need to de-stash some of my things that have been laying around for a while! I like reviews and all but sometimes I need to read it for myself, especially something as AWESOME as the Cursed Child! We should message each other when we’ve had a chance to read it when it comes out!

  • Lizzie says:

    Hi Kayla!
I LOVE your header image, so pretty <3 Also, I met John Green in 2014 at Vid Con, he was so kind and easy to talk too. Perfect pick for who to have tea with!

    • Kayla says:

Thanks love! One of our co-hosts, Hazel @ Staybookish deserves all the credit for the gorgeousness of this theme! Omgsh! That’s awesome that you got to meet him! That must’ve been pretty exciting! 🙂

  • Krystianna says:

I’m also hoping to get to Red Queen this year! I have a copy on hold at the library so I think I’ll be getting it soon. There’s a few people in front of me, but I’m sure the wait is worth it! Dorothy Must Die also sounds excellent. I love the idea of a twist on the Wizard of Oz stories. The Fault in Our Stars movie was actually pretty good! I heard that Paper Towns was a let-down (I’ve stayed away from it because of that) but I honestly don’t think TFiOS was. Nice to meet you Kayla! 🙂

    • Kayla says:

I think I’m going to go get a library card when I’m done school in June, cause I spend wayyyy too much money on books at the moment haha. I actually read The Wizard of Oz so I love the idea of it as well! Paper Towns wasn’t as bad, but I can see where the disappointment would lie from that! Nice to meet you too!

  • Hi Kayla! Nice to meet you! I am also ridiculously excited for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Great to have found your blog through #LoveAThon!

  • Ellen says:

Hey Kayla! It’s great to meet you! Your blog is gorgeous. 🙂
I’ve tried Kelley Armstrong’s books before, but I think it’s time to give it another shot.

    • Kayla says:

Thanks so much lovely! You awesome have a gorgeous blog! What books have you tried of Kelley Armstrong’s?! She has a few different areas that she writes within :). Nice to meet you!

  • Alexa S. says:

I’m definitely excited to read A Darker Shade of Magic at some point! I have so much catching up to do when it comes to Victoria/V.E. Schwab’s novels, and I definitely look forward to it. Happy Love-a-Thon! (PS – LOVE your header!)

    • Kayla says:

I am as well, I am in your boat EXACTLY. I swear I’ve picked it up at Chapters probably a half a dozen times and put it back down because I had enough in my hands. Definitely regretting that decision now! But thanks lovely!! Header is all thanks to our lovely co-host Hazel! Happy Love-A-Thon to you as well! 🙂

  • Shelly says:

Hello fellow Canadian! Oh my gosh yess, Lean On is strangely addictive! Happy LoveAThon! 😀

  • Hello Kayla!
I love your blog header! I don’t think I would be able to function without a cup of coffee a day. hahaha
I too look forward to reading This is Where it Ends. I am just waiting for my hold to come in at the library! Your dream library sounds amazing. 😀

  • A Darker Shade of Magic is so great! I’m rereading it now before the next one is released and I love it just as much the second time around. Hope you love it when you read it 🙂

  • Cee says:

Kayla! I seriously so obsessed with Kelly Armstrong’s Otherworld series. Like, Lucas Cortez/Paige Winterbourne are my ultimate OTP. I WANT ALL GOOD THINGS FOR THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE PRESH AND AWESOME.

    • Kayla says:

I am obsessed, seriously, she is awesome. Lucas and Paige are a huge OTP but so is Savannah/Adam! But Lucas and Paige are the most precious people ever. Only the good spilling from them! I NEED MORE OTHERWORLD.
