I was lucky enough to have most of these books gifted to me through Christmas presents to start off my 2016 reading! I’m really excited and am branching out a bit into some different genres. I cannot wait for some of what is to come in 2016 and have some reviews left to edit to post before these are underway! I’m especially excited to see what Meyer has done to re-imagine Twilight, so I cannot wait to read that!

I’m also looking forward to a few upcoming releases, one I’m hoping to purchase for my birthday next week!

    • Kelley Armstrong-City of the Lost
    • Jessica Khoury-The Forbidden Wish
    • Sarah Rees Brennan- Tell the Wind & Fire
    • James Patterson- 15th Affair
    • Emery Lord-When We Collided
    • Amber Smith-The Way I Used To Be
    • Laura Tims- Please Don’t Tell

There are quite a few other books that came out recently that I desperately want to go run out and grab, but alas, my poor student account strongly dislikes me as of right now-textbooks blech- but hopefully soon! I keep trying to get my swagbucks higher to get some paypal giftcards!

What does your TBR list look like for the start of 2016? Are you particularly excited for any upcoming releases?

    What do you think?

  • I envy you… having those books for presents. Have you tried 2nd hand books? They are cheaper but still offers the same excitement a brand new book can bring.

I’m currently reading Zero Waste Home now so just my two cents on buying books. You have Goodreads? I have mine here. (https://www.goodreads.com/pinkspell)

I got really lucky with my family and boyfriends family 🙂 I also only gave them books as Christmas presents so I could try and limit their spending on me-which didn’t happen! I’ve tried some second hand books, but sometimes they are just not in the best condition, and sometimes really not that much cheaper in some cases! I wait for some good deals for most of my books though! 🙂 I will add you as a friend to Goodreads soon! Zero Waste Home seems like an interesting title, I’ll have to check it out!

Books are always my favorite Christmas presents. I try not to buy too many myself because my spending can get a little out of hand, plus I have so many already that I need to read. Right now I’m reading Fates and Furies by Lauren Groth, and I haven’t decided what to read next. I recently got A Wheel of Time series for about $20, but it’s a 12 book series and I’m not sure I’m ready for that yet, haha.

Textbooks are the worst… I’m putting off buying mine. D:

My spending always gets out of hand for books… two summers ago I probably spent about $300 in books (but to be fair, I was working two jobs and went through a book every three days on my lunch break!) I try really hard to limit myself or wait until deals are around. Fates and Furies sounds interesting! I’ll have to check it out! However, that does sound like a loooong book series, I’ve never seen one THAT long! I say read it in installments!

Textbooks are terrible! I had to get mine early on though due to being in an accelerated program since this ‘semester’ is done in 8 weeks, so having the textbooks are crucial! Hopefully you can get some good second hand ones!
